«US grindcore act Terrorizer, who formerly set the release dates for their upcoming album entitled Hordes Of Zombies, reported here, has now unveiled the album cover and tracklist. The album is set for release on February 24th (28th in North America) via Season of Mist.

Охренеть! О_О Я до последнего момента загрузки метал-архивов не верил, что это та же группа, а оно вон как. Какой нафиг...?! Блэковая часть дебютника не слишком сверкала, чтобы так взять и сменить направление. *хрип* 2 года ждал новой порции сакрального счастья - куда, почему, зачем?!

«NILE REVEALS “AT THE GATE OF SETHU” COVER ART

2012-04-27 00:00 — Ancient Egypt-themed Death Metal act NILE have just revealed the cover artwork of their upcoming album: ‘’At The Gate Of Sethu’’

Artwork was handled this time by a true genius of darkened visuals, Seth Siro Anton (Soilwork, Paradise Lost, SepticFlesh).

Band mastermind Karl Sanders commented:
“Seth Siro Anton has designed the cover. I have been a fan of SEPTIC FLESH a long time, and as Seth expressed interest, I knew that he would deliver a great job.
I would say his work is easily the best we've ever had. He has captured the darker side of the sound of NILE and reflected the music and ideas, the heart and soul of NILE are forming. Seth is a very talented man and understands exactly who we are. "

Seth Siro Anton states:
“It is no secret that I admire the powerful stylistic lines of the magical symbols that still transmit the aura of ancient Egypt, preserving in time the ancient mysteries.
Also, I am fascinated from the final frozen moment of the flesh captured in an eternal sleeping stasis, at the completion of the mummification process.
So, with a great pleasure I accepted the challenge, to visualize the new masterpiece of Nile ‘’At the gate of Sethu’’.

Ну тут еще ничего, хорошо даже. Главное, чтобы в буклете непотребств не появилось.

Копипасту халтурит Сет. Самая клёвая обложка у Nile оформляла альбом Amongst The Catacombs Of Nephren-Ka, а вообще, ничерта не жду от вновь разлитого Нила. Вода в нём давно как стухла, семь лет уже свежести не видать.

Крутые новости для некоторых форумчан. Augury снова собрались в оригинальном составе: в группу вернулись басист Доминик Лапойнт и ударник Этьен Галло, и теперь они все вместе занимаются сочинением нового материала.

THE FACELESS’ NEW ALBUM TO BE RELEASED BY JULY?
Friday, April 27th

It may have taken four years, but we do seem to be getting gradually closer and closer to a new album from The Faceless. We know they’ve been spending time in the studio, and they even debuted a new song during the Metal Alliance tour. Now, in a new video interview, guitarist/mastermind Michael Keene and bassist Evan Brewer reveal that guitars and drums have been tracked for nine songs, which just leaves bass and vocals, and that whole pesky mixing and mastering thing. Plus the band wants to record a tenth song, which was written by new guitarist Wes Hauch.

The most exciting news, though, is that the band would like to have the album “out” by the time they start Summer Slaughter — which kicks off July 20. (I put “out” in quotation marks because I think it’s an important distinction from “completed,” which is not synonymous with “released” the way the word “out” obviously is.) That’s les than three months to complete, market, and release the album, which isn’t a lot of time. In the old days, when print media was more important, it would have been damn near impossible — magazines need two months lead time, so just to have the thing written-up and advertised in such publications, it would have to be done in the next few weeks. Of course, in the internet era, that’s less of an issue (no pun intended).

So… fingers crossed. We could be mere months away from FINALLY getting a new album from The Faceless. Now all it has to do is live up to the hype…
